Votive Decor

I really have been experimenting with new products. I just love adding little touches to my home decor. For Thanksgiving I added fall leaves falling from my sconces on my wall. Stampin up's Leaves die cut #2 worked great for many projects this fall. I used the Decor Elements sheets in chocolate for this. I was waiting for my Northern Frost die strip and grew impatient, so I used contact paper, a votive, and a Martha Stewart Punch with some etching cream to create this beautiful frosted cup. The photo doesn't show the detail but it is there. Etching cream is really easy to use and everything can be bought at Michaels except the contact paper that came from Walmart. Thanks for stopping, Brenda

St. Nick Treats

These were fun also, 3 york Peppermint Patties or Reese Peanut Butter Cups, 6 Large scallop circles in Bashful Blue, 6- 1 3/4 inch white circles. I used a retired snowman set, but Sizzix has a Snowman#2 die cut that would work perfect. That's where I got the hat from! Assemble snowman place in a plastic treat bag from Michael's and tie with a red ribbon! Don't ya just love the holidays? I bet rhinestone brads would rock instead of coal....

Week 6 of Christmas Cheer/ Gift card holder

This gift card holder was so easy and looks so elegant. You'll need 2 chipboard top note dies cut out and 3 always artichoke top note dies cut and 1 designer paper die cut. you'll also need a 4x6.5 piece of always artichoke cardstock on the 4 inch side score in a 1/2 inch on each side. Turn your paper and on the 6.5 inch side score at 1/2 inch,3.25, and 3.75. trim in your score marks to make your box and remove the .50x2.75 that would be toward the top(lid). tape the artichoke cardstock on both sides of the bottom chipboard and on the other tape your designer paper and tie your bow. Tape down the other artichoke to the back of that and using red tacky tape this will hid the ribbon on the back, put your box together and tape the lid to the top. Tooth Fairy Envelopes

Hi everyone, Here's a quickie. You'll need your scallop envelope die and the big shot to cut 4 envelopes the same color to create your box. 6-8 assorted color envelopes to match your designer paper. Your designer paper should be cut 12x2 I doesn't quite make it all the way around your box so you will need an additional piece 1.5x2 I placed this in the very center of the front of your box since my tooth fairy will cover it. I stamped 1 tooth fairy for the front of the box and one for each envelopes.I punched them out with the 1 3/4 circle punch. For the front I punched a scallop circle to make her pop. I punch a small rectangle hole on each side of the scallop trim of the envelope to run either ribbon or for a fairy feel I used a clear tinsel. I just highlighted the fairy with colors to match paper. Yes I used glitter and a glue pen to give it the magical feel. These are cuter then just stuffing money under a pillow and less likely to loose the tooth too! Thanks for stopping.
Supplies: Tooth Fairy stamp 119216, scallop envelope die 113462, 1 3/4 circle punch 119850, scallop circle punch 118874, Basic Black ink, assorted markers. all supplies can be purchased at http://brendasplace.stampinup.net/

Thankful Hostess Gift

For Thanksgiving I always bring the hosting family member something. Even if you have that special co-worker you just want to say Thanks to here's a quick and cost efficient gift. This little box holds 4 tea lights.
Cardstock used was Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Pear Pizzaz, Very Vanilla. Designer Paper used was Autumn Spice, and the Stamp Set was Falling Leaves.Inks used Cajun Craze, Cho Chip, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie. Ribbon was Certain Celery and More Mustard. Scallop Circle punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, and 1" Circle Punch. Box base is 4.5x4.5 score 3/4 inch around box. I used tacky tape to hold together. Box wrap is 3 1/8 x 9. score at 2,2 3/4,5 7/8,6 5/8. Wrap around box and tape with tacky tape AFTER your candles are in the box to insure perfect fit. For tea lights cut a 3 x 6 piece of copy paper and place 4 sheets of tissue paper sandwiched(This helps to punch the tissue) Punch a 1/8 hole in the center then punch a 1/14 inch circle centering the smaller punch. Stamp on your tissue stand wick up on candle and thread onto tealight. using an embossing gun heat the surface until the wax melts, this goes fairly quick. Wait for them to cool put in box wrap with ribbon and add tag. Thanks for stopping
